How to send zip files on outlook?

For example, you might want to attach more than one file to your Outlook email, and the size of those files might be too big for you to send them quickly. Because of this, you will have to make these attachments smaller before you can send them. The best way to get around is to zip.

If you need to send someone more than one file through email, you might want to use a folder instead of sending each file separately. When you attach a folder to an Outlook email, the data is compressed into one email attachment to make it easier to send.

This way, files won’t arrive out of order or without their attachments, saving you and the other person a lot of time. In Microsoft Outlook, you must compress a folder into a “zipped” folder to attach it to an email. After the compressed folder, it can be sent with an email.

Here’s how you can do it yourself.

Attachments in Zip Email format for sending

Outlook doesn’t have a way to compress attachments in emails directly. On the other hand, we can first zip files you want to attach to emails, and then we can help you attach the zipped files to emails.

  1. Go to the folder where the files you want to attach to an email message are stored.

  1. Choose the files you want to attach, right-click on them, and from the menu that comes up, choose “Send to” and then “Compressed (zipped) folder.” Look at this snapshot:

Note: To select multiple files that aren’t next to each other, click each while holding down the Ctrl key. To select multiple files next to each other, click the first and last file while holding down the Shift key. Both of these ways will be explained in the sections that follow. All the chosen files have now been put into a single compressed folder (zipped).

  1. From the context menu that comes up when you right-click the compressed folder choose “Send to” and then “Mail recipient” (zipped). Look at this snapshot:

  1. The folder’s outlook has been added to the new email, as shown in the screenshot below. Please write an email with your thoughts and send it.
